Trilogy Balancing Gel Cleanser Reviews

Review Trilogy Balancing Gel Cleanser

by Nicky B.

Application: Massage a small amount of Trilogy balancing gel cleanser onto damp skin (I used it in the shower!) and rinse with warm water

Packaging: Recyclable plastic tube in cardboard box

Ingredients: The Trilogy balancing gel cleanser (£22) contains Aloe Vera which cools and soothes sensitive and irritated skin, extracts of Elderberry which helps treat damaged skin and also has toning and cleansing properties and Comfrey which is rich in vitamins and minerals to purify the skin. There is also Certified Organic Rosehip Oil to moisturise, honey which draws moisture to the skin, cucumber extract which cools and refreshes and Kawa Kawa. This comes from the leaves of the native New Zealand Pepper Tree which refreshes, cleanses and mildly stimulates the skin as well as providing antioxidant properties.

Results: Past experiences with cleansing gels have left my skin really dry and needing even more moisturiser than normal. Consequently I have steered clear of them and have always opted for milk or cream cleansers. Although the information on the box states this product is ‘great for oily/combination skin types’ it was perfect for my dry skin. My face felt soft and clean and I was really surprised that there was no drying effect whatsoever.

Pros: Vegan, Not tested on animals, Soap free, Trilogy supports ethical trade practices, Non GMO, Natural colours and fragrances

Cons: None, a lovely product to use.

Trilogy Balancing Gel Cleanser (£22) and Trilogy Skincare are available from Naturisimo.

Trilogy Sensitive Cleansing Cream Reviews

Review of Trilogy Sensitive Cleansing Cream
By Sandra C.

Packaging: Trilogy Sensitive Cleansing Cream comes filled in a recycled plastic tube. Plastic tube is one of my favourite storage packaging. Not only that it’s light to carry, free from contamination but I can also squeeze the last drop of content instead of wasting it. A full size 150ml priced at £20, it is slightly expensive.

Scent: Since this Sensitive Cleansing Cream is for sensitive skin, there is no fragrance which I absolutely embrace it. I always feel sick when I use some very good organic products but with extremely strong smell. I can’t smell anything in this cleanser which is rather pleasant for me.

Ingredients: I know I can trust Trilogy Products because I know the ingredients they contain are always natural. The only thing I was disappointed is that they put preservative Phenoxyethanol in it. With the price tag, I would expect they do better than that. Apart from that, they have packed a lot of pure plant oil such as Chamomile, Evening Primrose and Calendula.

Result: I never really like cream cleanser because I always feel it just doesn’t cleanse the dirt off properly. Moreover, I don’t like my face feeling a bit sticky afterward. I didn’t use it at all for a month until last week when the weather was so cold that central heating was on even when I was sleeping. Then I realised how good this cleanser was, I tried my normal cleansing gel but it literally stripped my facial moisture that it really hurt. So I swapped to Trilogy Sensitive Cleansing Cream and it was so soothing to my skin and it is a must in harsh winter. It left my skin so moisturised and not itchy anymore. The best thing is when it was so cold in the morning that I didn’t even want to wash my face, I just massage a small amount of this cream to my face and then tissue off. It is so easy and stress free.

Pros:
Very moisturising and soothing.
Packaging is light and hygienic.
It is filled with lots of pure plant oil.

Cons:
There is Phenoxyethanol in it.
Slightly expensive.

Trilogy Rose Hand Cream Reviews

Review of Trilogy Rose Hand Cream

By Kath A.

Packaging:The Trilogy Rose Hand Cream (£15) comes in a squeezable tube with a flip top lid for easy application. The yellow tube and red and brown lettering are simple and classic.

Application: The texture of the Trilogy hand cream is very light and hydrating, yet it has enough substance to remain on the skin and continue moisturising – it doesn't just fade away to nothing! The scent of Rose is beautiful and calming and also remains on the skin for a while!

I suffer very badly with chapped hands, even in summer and a windy day can chafe my hands so that they bleed so I am always looking for new and effective hand creams. Trilogy hand cream is one of the best I have ever tried as it immediately soothes sore skin and creates a barrier against the wind and weather. This hand cream does not sting as some can and I reach for it whenever my hands feel dry or sore! A really lovely, organic product!

Ingredients: The Trilogy hand cream contains pure, organic rosehip oil, evening primrose and jojoba oils and shea and cocoa butters for a softening but not greasy effect. The hand cream should be kept below 30 degrees so obviously contains fresh ingredients with a limited shelf life, although I haven't put it in the fridge and it's still fine! Trilogy hand cream also contains pure extraction botanicals horsetail, marshmallow and calendula to soothe damaged cuticles and rose flower oil for the lovely aromatherapy type scent!

Results: I feel that this hand cream could be one I've been waiting a long time to discover! It is hydrating and soothing with just the right amount of cover without being too cloying or sticky, yet it remains on the skin without being too quickly absorbed. It works wonders on my dry, chapped hands and is a pleasure to use. Another wonderful product from New Zealand!

Pros:

  • Effective softening and soothing of dry, chapped hands.
  • Quickly absorbed but continues working and doesn't disappear!
  • A beautiful calming scent of rose – wonderful – aromatherapy on the go!

Cons:

  • I did have to reapply two or three times to achieve maximum effect
  • The applicator tube tends to splurge out quite a lot in one go!

Trilogy Rosehip oil Reviews

Reviews of Trilogy Rosehip oil
By Beverly S.
Packaging: Dark glass bottle to protect the oil from light with a petite pipette top for precise quantity of oil for each application.Trilogy Skin Care Buff and red coloured label clearly stating the nature of the oil & the fact it is advanced skincare.

I have been impressed with the quality of Trilogy’s packaging as the petite pipette has remained intact delivering the oil precisely throughout the course. I have used another brand with the same style of bottle but have found the dropper became worn with constant use. Trilogy’s is perfect.

Application: Trilogy’s rosehip oil is very easy to apply & is one of the best I have tried. After cleansing & toning I placed three drops on my finger tips, warmed the oil with both hands massaging then gently tapping the oil (like little rain drops) unto my face. I was amazed at how quickly my skin absorbed the oil even though I have dry skin sometimes intense oil take longer to absorb. I didn't notice a strong smell using Trilogy’s ultra fine rosehip oil.

I was pleasantly surprised to note I could use under my eye area which I am sure helped in boosting the effects of my eye cream.

Trilogy's oil didn't sting, drip or remain oily it was skin perfect!

Comments: Trilogy’s rosehip oil naturally contains the optimum levels of unique fatty acids essential to skin health. It can be used on both face and body which makes the oil most versatile & contains a minimum of 80% essential fatty acids. Trilogy use certified organic rosehip oil which is reassuring as it is the first product I used on my skin after cleansing & toning.

I enjoyed using Trilogy’s rosehip oil so much I ordered their cream cleanser & facial mist toner both of which reflected the same quality of packaging & results.

Results: Within a short time I saw results! My skin felt moisturized even before I used a moisturizer. I had no problems using the Trilogy rosehip oil morning & evening; at no time did my skin feel greasy. I felt radiant but even better the radiance & softness of my skin was commented on which proved to me the benefits of adding the ultra fine rosehip oil into my routine. My skin tone looked more even & a patch of redness on my chin became less obvious, in fact I barely notice the redness which was a concern for me.

Pros: It works to improve most skin concerns face & body

Simply wonderful - I would purchase

Even skin tone

Improved elasticity

Comments on my radiance seem to have lost the dullness from my complexion confidence boosting. I don't see any issues for people with oily skin as the oil absorbs beautifully

Cons: I didn't have any apart from the fact I will need a huge bottle now!
